Being a Caregiver for My Dad

by Sharon A Goff

Seeing the brutal effects of dementia up close and personal as I cared for my dad while he quickly deteriorated from the disease has forever changed me in so many ways. I am thankful I got to spend his final months of this earth with him and trying to spoil him as best I could under the circumstances while caring for him as best I could. The experience will always be in my heart and has made me more compassionate. He is now in heaven with his wife, my mom, and they are finally together again. It was no where near 'easy' but I am grateful for the opportunity and I hope I did him and the Divine proud.

Multiplicity of You

by Sharon A Goff

Have you ever stopped to think about all the people you've been in your life from birth up to your current age? Have you ever sat and pondered about all the decades, ages, experiences, personalities you've been since you've been alive (or at least from when you can first remember back to)? If you take the time do this, you will find out some amazing things about yourself and gain compassion for all of your past selves...even the ones that make you cringe. I did this recently and I wanted to share a little bit about some of my 'Sharon's'. Do this exercise to see and understand yourself better. You are worth the time.

Hello Loneliness
